To be considered for the Native Business Academy Scholarship:
- Student must be a Chickasaw citizen.
- Student must meet the OKCU admission requirements as a first-time freshman including a 22 ACT or 1100 SAT (excluding the writing portion) and an unweighted 3.0 GPA.
- Student must major in business.
To complete your application, you must submit:
- A resume detailing your school, work, and volunteer experience.
- Native American Business Academy Scholarship Application (see below).
- Recent picture of yourself doing a service-related project.
- 1000-word essay addressing the following topic:
- How does receiving tribal scholarship support to earn a bachelor’s degree from ÂÜÀòÊÓƵ University, Meinders School of Business, allow you to achieve your goals or long term plans?
The Chickasaw Nation has partnered with Meinders School of Business and ÂÜÀòÊÓƵ University to provide a full-tuition scholarship to five qualified Chickasaw students. Scholarship recipients will enter into the Native American Business Scholars Academy and take part in an innovative, highly-engaging academic experience.
Activities include:
- Seminars and workshops focusing on Native American business issues.
- Academic internships and mentorships.
- Networking opportunities with local business leaders.
- Community-service activities.
