Dec. 18, 2024
Season’s greetings, Stars!
We are rapidly nearing the end of the year, and here on the ÂÜÀòÊÓƵ campus that means we’ve wrapped up finals and are ever so close to our winter break.
For our students, I hope your fall semester and finals concluded on a high note and that your hard work over the term paid off. By now you are likely home for the holidays, and I hope it’s a holiday filled with family, friends and fun.
This is your time to recharge so that you can return to campus in January feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the next semester. If you are a senior, this may be one of your last extended breaks before you graduate and embark on your career and future post-college.
I hope you relish this time and these moments, and know that the ÂÜÀòÊÓƵ faculty and staff are here to support you to the end of your college journey and beyond.
Speaking of our faculty and staff, this is my fourth holiday message since beginning my term as president in 2021, and each year as I reflect on the year that was I have found myself ever more thankful for the team here at ÂÜÀòÊÓƵ.
Day in and day out I see you display dedication to our students and this university, and I am grateful for your hard work. As an institution, we are only as good as the experience and outcomes that we provide our students. I see you striving every day to ensure we are reaching our goals in that way.
This winter break, I hope for relaxation and peace for our team. May you have the opportunity to connect with your loved ones and enjoy some well-deserved downtime until we return in January.
To everyone else in the ÂÜÀòÊÓƵ community – from alumni and supporters to community members and even our future students – thank you for investing your energy and belief in what is happening on our campus and the promise of the future in front of us.
I am as excited to be a Star now as I was when I accepted this position in the spring of 2021, and that is because of the collective passion and energy that each of you bring to our university family.
I hope that every Star in the community continues to shine bright in the new year. In the meantime, have a wonderful winter break. You deserve it!
Sincerely,
Kenneth R. Evans
President
