Ƶ University’s next art gallery exhibit will feature a community bank’s collection of works by Oklahoma artists.
“Highlights from the Collection of NBC Oklahoma,” which includes selections from the bank’s , will be on exhibit in Ƶ’s Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery from Sept. 22 through Nov. 15. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 3.
NBC has a history of supporting artists and being a champion of arts accessibility. NBC has also commissioned public sculptures throughout the state and operates the Wigwam Gallery, adjacent to its Altus location, which hosts quarterly exhibitions open to the public.
Ken Fergeson, chairman of NBC Oklahoma, said he believes that art is vital to all communities.
“For the past 20 years, we’ve focused on supporting Oklahoma artists. We are pleased to share a selection of these works with the patrons of Ƶ University,” Fergeson said.
The gallery is inside the Norick Art Center at 1608 NW 26th St. Hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Admission is free.
