Ƶ University’s annual “MOVE! Dance for the World of Entertainment” performance will return to the Kirkpatrick Auditorium March 7-9, showcasing the talents of more than 120 students in one of the two largest annual productions for the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment.
“MOVE!” will be performed at 8 p.m. March 7, 8 and 9, with a matinee showing at 2 p.m. March 9. All performances take place in the Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center at N.W. 24th Street and Blackwelder Avenue. For tickets, visit or call 405-208-5227.
Infused with vibrant energy, the Star Dance Company’s “MOVE!” features vivid costumes, dynamic movement and contagious energy. The showstopping Starettes kickline will open this year’s production, followed by a playful glimpse into the ocean that will leave the audience swimming in fun. Fosse followers will be captivated by an homage to “Bye Bye Blackbird,” fans of the Neon City will be enchanted by the sequins, feathers and fringe of Vegas – and for the Swifties… are you “Ready for It?!”
Ƶ was the first dance program in America to offer degrees specializing in the entertainment dance forms of tap, jazz and musical theater. Dancers from across the country come to Ƶ every year to hone their craft and go on to successful careers in show business. Alumni can be found performing, managing, choreographing and teaching all over the world including Broadway shows, the Rockettes, television, film, cruise ships and concerts with musical artists.
